An evidence-based impact assessment service that quantifies and emphasises the health and wellbeing benefits of nature interventions in urban places.

Make My City Thrive is an evidence-based impact assessment and reporting service. It gives landscape architects and land owners an affordable way to demonstrate the psychological and environmental benefits of their greenspace designs and enhancements. We developed the framework in partnership with Environmental Psychologist Dr Eleanor Ratcliffe of the University of Surrey.

We combine academic and industry best practices to assess psychological restoration, nature connection, environmental, health and wellbeing benefits of green infrastructure interventions. We show the benefits in the context of Social and Environmental Value, Sustainable Development Goals, and other national and local policy targets.

We track and demonstrate impact on an online dashboard. This clearly shows the value of your projects to your clients, stakeholders and the public.

By adopting the Make My City Thrive approach in your projects, you will get:

  • An understanding of the often intangible health and wellbeing benefits that urban green spaces provide, using evidence-based yet practical methods.
  • Beautiful and fun survey and journaling materials to engage a range of residents and stakeholders in sharing their experiences of green space designs and enhancements.
  • Expert analysis synthesis of the multiple subjective and objective benefits of interventions, including both quantitative and qualitative results.
  • An impact report that showcases the benefits that your greening intervention has on its users and the wider public and brings them to life in a compelling narrative.
